Is GlyphJet free?
Yes. GlyphJet is free and open source under the MIT license. You can use it personally or commercially.
Does it send my data anywhere?
No. The catalog and search run locally. There is no account, network call, or telemetry inside the app.
Why Alt+; instead of Win+;?
Windows reserves Win+; and Win+. for its own emoji panel. Alt+; registers reliably through the Win32 RegisterHotKey API.
How is it different from the built-in panel?
GlyphJet has a deeper catalog, synonym-aware search, and one surface for emoji, symbols, and kaomoji.
Does it paste the glyph automatically?
No. It copies plain Unicode text to the clipboard and never injects keystrokes into another app.
Does it work on macOS or Linux?
The current release targets Windows 11 x64. Cross-platform support is not promised yet.
